When you first pair your phone to the head unit via bluetooth - a popup menu on the phone will appear asking to "allow" contacts and favourites to sync. You will need to click ALLOW.
If you haven't done this when you paired the phone, you will need to "forget" the phone and head unit from each other, and re-pair it.
